what year mustang 5.0 engines had forged pistons? i thought they all did except in 93. anyone know for SURE?

93 did not have forged pistions, I am not sure if 86 does or dosent but 87-92 do.

83 - 92 5.0L 's had forged pistons

don't 83-86 have non reliefed pistons also??? I know 86 does not sure of the rest.

your book is wrong. They were cast back then with like 8.5.1 cr

No actually the book wasn't wrong...I was :thud:

The 1983 GT turbo was what got upgraded to forged aluminum pistons. I read through to fast to realize it. My bad.
