CREDENTIALS
CREDENTIALS: See IHRA/NHRA general regulations.

DEEP STAGING
Deep staging is permitted, however not advocated. If you plan to Deep Stage it is strongly recommended that you boldly display the words DEEP on all four windows, in plain view of the starter. It is always the driver’s responsibility to stage the vehicle prior to the tree being activated. In any event, the driver must be prepared to leave as soon as the final stage light is lit.

A competitor with the words DEEP displayed on the window is not necessarily obligated to deep stage. As well, the starter is not necessarily obligated to wait on a driver to deep stage, even if the words DEEP are displayed on the vehicle. All drivers must be prepared to leave as soon as the final stage light is lit.

CLASS & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
It is the participant’s responsibility to familiarize oneself with the safety requirements as found in the current IHRA/NHRA rulebooks.
The participant agrees that the participant bears the ultimate responsibility at all times to ensure the safety of participant’s vehicle and to ensure that participant complies with all applicable IHRA/NHRA rules. The participant agrees that participant is in the best position to know about the construction and operation of participant’s vehicle, equipment, and clothing, and whether there has been compliance with all applicable IHRA/NHRA rules.

LANE CHOICE
During qualifying lane choice is up to the drivers. For first round the quicker qualified car will have lane choice, for subsequent rounds the lane choice goes to the competitor who had the better reaction time the previous round, if both drivers had the same reaction time the driver who had it first will have lane choice.

************************************************** ****

O/C combines some aspects of bracket racing with some aspects of the heads-up stuff...it's a .500 pro-tree but it's still a handicapped start and your index is set at 1/10 under your quickest qualifying pass...we generally try to run three qualifying passes. Say you run a best of 11.50 in qualifying, your index for the race would be 11.40 and that will be your "dial-in" for the entire race...you can still "breakout" as you can in the brackets but with the 1/10 cushion it is less likely.

The tracks will charge you their regular T-N-T fees (before, during, and after our "race" all who are in attendance will be able to Test&Tune to their hearts content) Our Open Comp races in the past have been $10.00 entry and 100% payback, either to the finalists or down to the semi's when the car count has been there...thinking about making the entry fee a couple bucks more and putting it into a pointsfund for yearend but we're still just in the thinking stage on that yet.
This has been more of a "fun" race than anything serious and we'd like to keep it that way too...we've had BBQ's along with our races...and alot of benchracing too. It's been a good way for alot of the web-based people to actually get to meet one another and have some fun thrashing on the cars...the O/C race is just a way for some of us with abit of competitive spirit to go at it for a couple of bucks.

Anymore questions or if I need to clarify anything pleae feel free to ask!!

Hope to see you at a few of these, they are a blast!!
