I was wondering what places in wisconsin or the surrounding areas have facilities for custom tuning on a dyno. I will be purchasing my Kenne Bell hopefully this spring and will install it when i come home In july if everything works out. I will want a custom tune for this.
I would also like to hear from people who have used their services and how were your experiences? (good or bad)
Thanks! :thumbs_up
Well I know you asked for Wisconsin.
But for the Modular Motor Pauls High Performace in Jackson Michigan.
Just ask Greg what Paul did for his Mach1. :thumbs_up
Find a good shop that uses the SCT product.

Thanks guys. that helps alot. BTW, im not limited to just wisconsin. I look for any reason to take my car on a road trip. It has been bouncing around in my mind about driving down to georgia to get a tune from Modular powerhouse, I have heard countless stories and raves about them and what they do with modular motors and tuning. But that is a little far considering my time constraints of being on leave.

Without a doubt, give Kurgan Motorsports a call. Bob tuned my car and I really like his methodology for getting the car dialed in. Not to mention, he picked up some significant power over my previous tune.
You could always travel to the Dearborn area & get tuned by the man himself Jerry W. :D

Without a doubt, the best you will find is Ed Casar of Done Rite Automotive in Mosinee, WI. He has a brand new AWD Superflow dyno, its one of less than a handful in the country. He is also Wisconsin's only Autorized F.A.S.T. dealer/technician, if you go to FAST's website, he's the only one in Wisconsin, so that should tell you something. He is fluent in FAST, Accel DFI, Western Motorsports' SDS, and all the others. He's also hooked up with Superchips Custon Tuning, Diablosport, and many others. He has done some pretty amazing vehicles, if you have any questions, you can give him a call, and he will just blow your mind. He has a degree in (I think) Mechanical Engineering, so he's not just some yahoo with a garage. He has a site in progress, www.DoneRiteAutomotive.com, definately give Ed a call, you won't find anyone better or nicer to deal with!!!!!!
I second for Ed.
Jerry Wroblewski.
He & Chris Johnson are the tuning Masters behind the SCT products.

Just a little hijack here, kinda curious.
Bob, do you do much with nitrous cars, carbs, or some of the other electronic stuff? I've heard your a wiz with EFI blower cars and PMS, do you do alot of the others?
no go on carbs... thats like chinese to me....
I have done NOS cars with PMS's and FAST...
I tune a lot of PMS, EPEC, SCT, DFI Gen6..... I tune a few FAST and BS3 systems... I am going to california in the near future for training on the AEM system.. I hope that answers your quesitons..

Bob, In your opinion is the AEM the best with all the features it has for the Pro Tuner ????? From what I've read it looks very good for the money & features. Or will it be easier to answer after the training ?????
Thanks for your time. :D

Its good someone asked this because I was wondering the same thing. I would love to be able to go to Modular Powerhouse also but it is a very long drive. Hey Bob have you done a lot of modular cars with SCT software.

I already have a SCT Flasher and was dyno tuned with it. Can i get my cams dyno tuned into my flasher that i have?
Yes,
They can load a new file into your flasher.
It can hold up to 3 custom tunes plus your stock settings.

Cool, but since i already have 3 tunes (2 are mostly the same), the one i have for emissions, so they can scan all the codes. Will the new tune overwrite this, or can they just add to the tunes?
Steve,
You are able to decide which one to overwrite.

I've done quite a few different modular combos... N/A, NOS, and blower.... I also have a raptor which aids significantly with tuning the EEC V cars... hope this helps..
thanks bob

So Bob did you end up going to CA for the AEM tuning? I have emailed with Scott Armish A few times. He sent me a base tune to start from but I haven't attempted to do anything yet. Still have to hook up the UEGO and MAP sensor.

I didnt fly out there and Im probably not going to... im a quick learner and Scott Armish came out here to show me how to use the software... i talk to him daily and Im very comfortable with the software... if he gave you a base, it should be pretty easy from here..

It looks like it worked very well for your 1st race of the season. Is AEM the best the market has to offer in your opinion ????? Looks like a huge amount of things one can do, but maybe more for the Pro Tuner than the average person.

Im my opinion, its BY FAR, the most advanced system available for under 6k... if you have the time to spend on part throttle, idle, and other small details, the car will run BETTER then stock..

Its my understanding that probably the best system "as a whole" is the Gen VII. Im told there is far more in-depth tuneability with that one than most of the others.
I can tell you that Ive played with the Gen 7 on a few cars and the AEM offers about 2x as many tables and screens.... LOTS more adjustability!
