what to do(red interior)

hey guys,
i really hate the red interiors on fox bodys. and wouldnt you know that the notch i just bought has a RED interior :mad:

i was wondering if anyone else felt the same way. and doesn anyone have any recommendations as what i can do to fix this problem?

yeah i dont like it ether but ive just learnd to like it for now i dont have the money to buy new interior

I think the red in the 86 and older looks better than the 87-93 they are just bad!

i didnt know how well that dye works, i guess i'll try it out. quietflow.......what else do i neeed to change first;)

I painted the back panels on my 89 and swapped in a black dash and console along with the seats... You couldnt even tell that it was painted... I also have some gray seats laying around if your interested

My 85 has red GT interior. I don't mind it but the fabric they used is REALLY prone to sun fading. Mine started and the owner had the windows tinted really dark to help protect the seats.

my b/f had red interior on his 90, and we just found some guy selling black interior outa a 6cyl mustang, and bought those up, and them, then took it to some carpet guy and had them put black carpeting in :thumbs_up

i had red in my old 87gt. i dyed it black (everything..dash, carpet, all panels.) everything u paint that has constant contact will rub thru. it looks good. the paint is cheap. i would find some different seats and paint it. its cheap enough. i think my interior took some time before wear showed up. like where you foot sits by the gas pedal, the door handle. ehhh..i say go for it. its fun to see the change..but you can tell that its painted. it will look like ur interior has armor all on it forever!!

the seat belts soak up the paint well. they turn out the best when u use black paint

AMEN! just rip out the red and find a wrecked 4 cyl car and swap.

i am thinkin somethin along those lines.....i need speed first though. 14.1's isnt fast enough for me yet. i'll see how the dye works out
