Pivot Ball depth?

Can anyone out there help me?

I am trying to figure out the correct pivot ball depth for my lakewood? I don't have my stock bell so I have no idea

John at Fast Times says to set it "all the way down" to start and it should be ok. He said those are "hit or miss" but on a cable clutch Ford it should be ok to go all the way in.
