Drive shaft question?

I'm sure this question was asked a couple of times already, but I wanted to know if I switch from an AOD to a C-4 if I can use the same drive shaft? I also switched from a 302 to 351w, dont know if that makes a difference or not. I noticed that when I went to install the dive shaft it slide all the way into the tranny, but I then had to slide the drive shaft back about 3-4 inches to reach the rearend. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can interchange the driveshaft between the AOD and C4 and even the T5. 302 or 351 doesn't matter either.
