So, pardon the ignorance here; does it plug into the under dash port? Or into the port on the PCM?

Gee Kirk, what do you need that for???? :hehe: ;)
Plugs into the OBDII port under the dash. Don't need to touch the EEC at all.

one question on this thing... is it year and computer code specific? or is it pretty much universal?
It is set up for your computer code.
I got the full package so I can make any changes I need.
You can get the flasher loaded with a tune for less.
It is also an OBDII reader. and both will allow you to adjust for gears & a few other things.
Lots of reading & playing ahead for me.

Cool, can't wait to hear the reports on this. For me I was thinking of getting a dyno tune and the EEC flashed. Not going to be making any more changes for a while. :thumbs_up

Kirk one question on the tuner. What programming does the tuner have out of the box? I leaning towards getting a SCT tuner and then mayby next year I can get a custom tune. Looking at the SCT site I like the basic user tweakable functions and the ability to read codes will probably come in handy as the car ages. 72600 and counting. :burnout: :burnout:
I have to say out of all the vehicles I've owned this car is my favorite. I've had more fun with it than any of my bikes etc. I just enjoy driving it. Mustangs rock
BTW when are you going to start installing the rear suspension. They will turn up the noise but the rear will feel really planted. :thumbs_up

That's cool Kirk, will it keep the SES light off if you run an o/r X-pipe?
The flasher can make some minor changes on it's own besides loading a custom program. It will read & clear codes.
I have not had time to really dig into it yet.
It looks like there will be no time to install suspension stuff before the race on the 30th.
