Hello all, I'm new to this site. I', from Bellevue Nebraska, and presently own a 1998 v6 3.8 auto. I drive it for my job, as well as I pretty much drive it like I stole it kinda thing. Recently I just realized that all that fun has taken its toll on my mustang, so just last summer I replaced its stock suspension with some Tokicko Shocks and springs, but then that I'v done nothing to its other parts as for suspension an such, and this is still pretty pretty much my first car I'v driven and own, so what im curious is, are tie rods hard to replace? Do I need special tools, other then regular wrenches and such? Can I do this on my own? What about the bushings, when I turn my wheel's sharp while going slow, the tires jump over a little, also even after the new shocks and springs, im feeling and an extra bump from both wheels i beleive on passenger side, normaly just a small step in the road 3/4 inch at 10 mph...Could something be lose under there? Both occured same time.
Thanks for any idea's or thoughts on this!

And also is there mustang meets in omaha nebraska or bellevue nebraska?
Time dates? what happens at these events?

Welcome to MMA! Pretty much the only uncommon tool you will need to replace tie rods is a pickle fork. If you don't have one, you can get by with 2 hammers and tap both sides of the round portion of the tie rod end at the same time to unseat it. The rest of the tools needed are fairly common. While your in there, check for loose parts and hardware. Also check the balljoints. Bad balljoints can make noise on rough roads.
