I went to Autozone and rented the spring compressor tool. Well i believe I got the wrong one. Im putting some Eibach springs in the front and I see no way that i can get the spring back on with these compressors. THe one I have is two pieces. You put them on the opposite sides. Well the compressors hit the arm. WHAT A PAIN. You guys know if this is the tool I need...im thinking yea

Yes that looks like the right one but you'll know for sure once you have it in your hands. There is a Mustang specific compressor out there some where. Other wise you just need to shorten up the bolts on the compressor. It seems like you have experienced this already..... Are you putting Eibach lowering springs in? You probably won't need the compressor as long as you get the car high enough in the air. The only set of springs that I needed a compressor for in a Mustang were Eibach drag springs. I will never use them again because not only are they a pain to put in but they make the car sit like a 4 wheel drive truck. Eibach lowering springs are cool though which is what I assume you are doing.

I don't think you will be happy with them. In my GT the stock springs worked better for me than the drag launch kit did and that was with a 347 that went high tens. Not to mention that the car looked like ass with the Eibach springs in it. I wouldn't put another set of those in one of my cars even if someone gave me the springs and paid me to use them. I would just hate to see you go thru the hours of hassle installing the front springs and be dissapointed like I was. Just sharing some experience, take it for what its worth.

I know Darrell hates them, but I liked them in my car. :D It did sit too high though, so you might want to cut a coil or so. Putting them in was a PITA though. I ended up using that compressor and a pipe as a spacer because I wanted to get my deposit back, but I should have just cut it. Even then I kicked them in too. They are much easier to take out. :p I do still have the rears in with the air bag which I think helped.

If you drop the springs from the rear ie: take the two control arm bolts out instead of the ball joint or strut you won't need a compressor. It goes like butter that way. Or you can risk your life messing around that way.....
