Im in the middle of putting on new front springs and struts. While doing this I noticed that the bar you use to adjust the toe is bent. Is it suppose to have a minor curve. IM thinking no so I had a few pictures taken. Does this look right to you guys. If not, can i just replace that piece, or the whole rack?? What is that called too?? And while everything is off...you think i should change out the ball joints?? they look ok. I have the parts and ball joint press. Or should i just return em and get my money back????

That would be the tie rod and no it is not supposed to be bent. If it were me I would just replace the whole steering rack. If you hit it hard enough to bend that, it could have caused some internal damage too. My friend's sister has a Ponitac GTP that was hit in the front at one point prior to her buying it and one day the steering got tighter mysteriously and all of a sudden the steering rack separated leaving the car obviously undrivable. For safety reasons alone I'd change it.
