I took my car to Borchardt's this morning. The results were not as good as I was hoping for.
My baseline from last august was 260hp. Since then I added a Magnaflow catted X-Pipe and Magnaflow cat-back.
I also had a Diablosport Predator with me.
The tires were cold and wet and they slipped during the first run so I had a hot engine to start with.
The second run produced 272hp, which is not that bad.
After the second run I downloaded the Predator tune.
The third run produced the same peak hp but there was an improvement right after 5000rpm, which is visible in the second dyno chart. Other than that the canned performance tune seems to be waste of money. Maybe a professional tune would find a few more hp?
(The car is a 1999 Cobra vert)

Nice HP no matter what, but I agree you should have seen more out of the tune than that! Have you talked to the person you bought the Predator from?

What kind of car do you have?

Its a 99 cobra....

I bet you would gain ~10-15 more with a custom tune - do you know if any timing was added in the tune?

I used the "performance tune" that came with the programmer. I believe that the tune is very conservative. There may be more power in the timing adjustments but I'm afraid that I'll blow up the engine if I change that on my own.

Just have them e mail you a new tune or what to do.

Can you change timing and/or fuel tables with the programmer that you have?

Yes, I can. I'm just a bit afraid to do that myself. I want to stay within safe parameters.

I was lookin at your dyno chart and it looked like you were running way lean. I believe you want to be like 12.8 to 13.0
