Is there any way to change or adjust the shift points on an aod trans?

Inexpensively... yes. To some extent, you can adjust the TV cable. Click the link for more info. It takes some futzing but you can really fine tune it once you get the hang of it.

Thanks. It will be nice to have it shift at somewhere higher than 4500. Plus im afraid its going to break because its going on its second year of 1d1 shifting and i dont really think its that good for it.

Any idea where you would set it between min and max on their to get it to shift at a certain rpm or does this just set it to where it would be stock?

This sets it to "about" stock.

To adjust it... I'm going from memory. It's been 3 years since I had an AOD car. Moving the cable forward (towards the front of the car) in small increments (say maybe 1/8" at a time) is the way to go to raise shift points. Go a little at a time and take it out and road test it. If you get it right, you can actually get some pretty nice firm shifts out of it... not to mention it's better for the tranny than the slushy shifts are. Good luck
