Painting chrome stuff.

Just finished removing/sanding/cleaning/painting the windshield moulding semi flat black. (plenty of paint on hands to prove it).
Going to start on the back glass moulding tomorrow nite. (got it off, just the dirty work left to do).
Now, my question is this.................What to use to 'rough up/sand the door handles. I see I can get replacement 'black' ones from different sources, but I would think there must be 'some way' to get paint to stick to the chrome ones, eh?

Anyone done that before? Got any ideas?

I would just order new ones. They are only $25/handle all metal from 50resto.com

Thanks. Just did that. $12.50 apiece (repo's), from mustangsunlimited. (started trying to scratch the surface, and couldnt do it, so got the catalogs out).
