64 and sunny tomorrow, ahh yes

Tim Russell
04-05-2004, 10:30 PM
Is the doggy gonna be ok?

It's driving me crazy. I have a knocking noise in the rear suspension when ever I start off. I double checked and everything is tight and I can't see any thing making the sound. The main thing is everything is safe, all bolts tight.

I think it might be a result of the mixture of the stock lowers and the X2C uppers. On Friday after work I'm gonna pull everything apart. Pep boys had a jack/jack stand/creeper and wheel chock kit for cheap so now I got 4 jack stands and 2 jacks.

I'll be looking for some help Saturday to get the bolts out of the front of the LCA's and get the rear end lined up.

Damm it is cold this morning. Dropped the car off to get the LCA's installed. Too bad I can't get the time I spent on them back. Kirk big thanks for stopping by Saturday.

After all the crawling around and getting up and down my stomach muscles are still sore. Yesterday I did a bunch of yard work. I need to rake the back yard and I got about 20% of it done so far. Damm trees dropping branches and pine cones everywhere. :thud:

Kirk

No problem Tim.

Just wish we could have gotten the lowers swapped.

Have you run it yet? Any idea what it'll do.

Hey even N/A cars like the cold air. My car feels really strong around 35 degrees out.

For those that saw my control arm post I have an update. I emailed X2C and they are shipping the correct sleeves to me. That's a much better solution than driling out the torque boxes.

No.... not yet at least. :hehe: I was tunning a car for someone. It is a project car I have been woking on for a few months now. The car will be out and about in the area looking for some action.

Someguy- Did you eve find a three pillar pod for your car? I still have mine if you want it.

I have been tunning the car for driveability. I hooked up a wideband and did a little part throttle and WOT tunning but not much. He does not have any money right now for dyno time. As soon as he does it should make good power. From a roll it feels REAL good once it hooks up.

I ended up buying one. But i dont see how it would work. Did you have to cut off the top and bottom sections then just screw it in? I should have just bought yours. Do you have any picutures? It would help me out alot.

Ya, I had to cut it in two sections, re-inforced it from the back, then used epoxy on the front, sanded it down and re dyed it to match my interior. Was not easy but it looks real good. You can't really tell it has been cut unless you look real close. I don't have any pics off hand. I will get some for you. Later

Well the least favorite day of the week is back.

I need more weekend. Playing Saturday & working on the house yesterday just beat me. And this is a long week, gotta work Saturday.

Tim Russell
04-19-2004, 09:09 AM
I hear ya, yesterday I finished raking up the sticks etc. in the back yard and feeding them to the chipper vac. Then I mowed the lawn and what do I find thanks to the wind, more sticks :HittingHe at least these aren't imbedded in the grass but what a PITA.

I also gotta finsh the trim I've been putting off before the wife gets back. :thud:

At least I'm taking Friday off so 4 day week :D

MachGigolo
04-19-2004, 10:53 PM
3 days to go.........

Kirk

Good Morning MMA!

Beautiful morning today. And better yet since I am off today for working Saturday.
So that also makes it a 4 day work week.

Today we get all of our rough inspections on the house, and the shower gets delivered.

Tim Russell
04-26-2004, 07:47 AM
Cool sounds like things are moving along. Had a nice 3 day week, got some stuff done and relaxed a bit. No major house projects for a while for me again. Hope we get some better weather this week. :thumbs_up

I guess X2C isn't going to come through with those bushing and sleeves so I'm going to drill out the holes. Gotta ask around to see who's done it before and see if they have any advice. Shouldn't be a big problem I just hate hearing a bit of noise from time to time. It can't be good on the bolts either.

Kirk
04-26-2004, 08:22 AM
What's up with X2C??

Tim Russell
04-26-2004, 09:09 AM
They're not returning messages and no parts came. I know this is the busy time of year for parts suppliers so it's probably fallen through the cracks. I'm going to go back through the web site and try contacting them again. If that doesn't work I'll just drill out the torque boxes and be done with it.

Got a ship confirmation on my struts, be here tomorrow. I ended up ordering from Tire Rack so they're shipping out of South Bend. :thumbs_up

Kirk
04-26-2004, 08:55 PM
What did you get?

Tim Russell
04-26-2004, 09:59 PM
KBY AGX adjustable struts. Tire Rack ended up having a better price than other places I checkled. Be nice to get the front end tightened up. New shocks on back and old struts on front does not make for the best cornering. Gonna get them on and an alignment at the same time. I decied to hurry up because a few weeks ago I started feeling a bit of play in the steering. That'll get checked out too.
I emailed X2C again and I'm waiting to see if I get a response, we shall see. Otherwise I'm going to see about getting some larger bolts and drilling out the holes.

Man where did the weekend go I need another day :thud:

Tim Russell
05-17-2004, 06:26 AM
No other place to put it. I feel so much better. My whole weekend was shot with a spring cold. My temp was running hot and cold etc. We did make dinner with some good friends yesterday afternoon at Palmer's in LaGrange (they have like 200+ beers from around the world) I had a Monty Python Holy Grail Ale and it was really good.

One thing that sucks is because I'm on vaction the next two weekends and helping friends move the next I'm not gonna make the track for like another month. Oh well, life seems to go better when your busy.

Argh! Monday is on us again. I had a great weekend but now back to the grind. Heavy weather moving in from the looks of it, entire area is under a flood watch. They think this storm might produce 2" of rain  Like we need more water, my back yard is already getting swampy in places. Better there than in the basement. :thumbs_up
