Everyones cars running so far this year??? Everyone has been pretty quiet.

For me I have only made a few passes and I have some suspension problems that I needed to work out. I talked to a few people(thanks Dave B) and I think I have it figured out.

Anyone else make any passes??? :burnout:

I need to put some miles on the Cobra before I can hit the bottle. I don't want to be replacing the clutch again for a long time, so I'll have to wait it out. When I do make some passes, I won't launch off the bottle for awhile. Once I get things squared away though, I may upgrade to the 150 shot. :D

Been out of the garage only 3 times. Short runs to lube the drivetrain. Weather just sucks. Haven't started on the mods yet. Still waiting for my ported intake to return. If it's much longer, I'll just wait till I get it & install @ a later date. Very busy with family.

Kinda hard to run with no motor in the car! I just pulled it out last Sunday and tore it down. Crank is going to need some work and the cylinder walls will need a really good hone job, but otherwise there weren't any bearings spun. My timing chain will need to be replaced, it was waaaay stretched out plus my balancer was not lookin too good. I am putting the stock LB back together. I few tricks, but keeping it simple this year. I just want to get it back on the road. Plus I want to see what I can really get out of what I have. :hehe:

I went to the track last weekend. I got a couple new 60's, but was running the same e/t because of the nasty 35+ mph headwind.

My engine still isn't done. We've chewed up the teeth on two starters trying to start that high compression bugger up. A new high torque mini starter is going in, but the header tube for #1 has to be moved to make it fit....thanks Randy at PER!! Also, with having to move for the new job, i suspect i won't be racing for at least another month or so.

I"m running same old, same old boring times as last year. Kinda sucks, being as the 'suspension mods', have taken away the wheeelie effect too. Boring ass ride.

I'm definitely not happy the way i've been running. I have the power for mid to low 13's, but can't even break a high 13, i have 4.30 gears. Frustrated, i bought some ProStars all around and some used Nittos. I hope it makes all the difference this MMA day coming.

all it is, is that your trying to hard to run in the 13s so your finding ways not to do it.

that first run we ran you had me until you missed 3rd(and hitting the limiter in the first and 2nd gear wont help) and I ran a 13.6


and you had a better 60' and

been out of the shop once with the new motor had it out for bout 2 hours fried the maf sensor, fouled the plugs, and burned a whole tank of premium in 70 miles...not too good yeat, hopefully if its decent out i'll give her a try this weekend

I got my new combo going the sunday before the WFC. then it rained all week, I finshed up the car in the trailer after I got to St Louis cause of the rain. then friday 1st pass on the car it went 9.773 @ 128 mph! almost a new best et but had to let off or brush the wall. then my last pass of the weekend was a 9.58 @ 142mph with a 1.412 60'..... I have some new slicks on the car Thanks Fast Times. If GLD is open tonight I think the car will run 9.4s with a good 60' time on the motor :rockon: after I get a few more NA runs on the motor, I'm going to crack open the bottle & flip the switch & enter the 8 sec zone :rockon:
