V1 = Loud
V2 = Quite
V1 = Straight-cut gears = loud
V2 = Helical-cut gears = quiet
(just adding a little more there Nick)

I missed this one...
To add even more... :D
The V1 is "stronger" because the straight-cut gears have more contact face between them, but so far the V2 has been very reliable and not prone to problems.

is the V1 prone to problems? I love the squeel and whine of superchargers, which would encourage me to get the V1, so long as they are as reliable as the V2.

also, after reading vortechs site, it says their V1 kit is 5psi. What if I want like 8 or 10 using that unit? Can I swap pulleys on that one?

You can swap pulleys, but it voids your 3 year warranty. Go with the S trim if you want 8-10 psi

well after finding out my cars engine has a compression ratio of 10:1, I think I may only go with 5psi. BTW the V1 is an S-trim.
