Anybody know if it is possible to judge what size K&n air filter to use if you are building a CAI? I would assume the larger the filter, the more air it will flow.
Here come the "bigger is better" jokes... :banana:

I'm sure others will chime in. Your "more larger filter more air" theory sounds right on. On the other hand, less filter would mean less obstruction keeping the air from getting in. I don't know... both seem to make sense...

I think in all reality, filter size won't make a whole lot of difference as far as performance. Get a good conical KNN pending on the room you have inside you engine bay or in your fenderwell, the smaller the filter the better the access if its in the fender.

I'm kind of surprised they dont rate filters like they do like a throttle body in cfm.

They do. It is just harder tofind those numbers. A stock style k and N on my wife's SHO flows 550cfm for comparision sake.
