Bought as vortech V-1 SC, and i am installing it at the moment. Heres the problem. The Supercharger crank pulley that bolts on top of the existing crank pulley is not fitting right. The SC crank pulley will not fit into the end of the crank. Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem? This is on a 92 lx. If anyone could help me i would greatly appreciate it since i am really getting frustrated :shrug:

im not sure about that kit but dont you remove your old crank and put there double belted crank on?

You have a seperate pulley like he is describing unless you have a renegade type crank pulley. You will have to run your stock crank pulley, so if you are running underdrives thats probably the problem. Good luck!

Also make sure that there are no nicks or imperfections around the edge of the hole in the pulley where it fits over the snout of the balancer. It's a tight fit. At least on 94-95 cars it is.
If you can't get the pulley to slip onto the balancer, the edges of the hole in the crank pulley may be nicked up. Also remember that you must change the water pump pulley in conjunction with the crank pulley and the water pump must be done first or else you will not be able to fit the crank pulley on.

Why does the water pump pulley need to be changed? I am reading through the instructions and they do not mention this. The New SC crank pulley assembly is about 20 thousandths off and I really dont see anyway it is going to fit in there and sit straight. I have been talking to vortech and they have no clue whats going on

All right, I got that on. I just led it on with the bolts, seems to be alright. Im sure I will run into some more problems sooner or later.
Greg: Why would I need to change the water pump pulley?

With the standard kit you should not have to replace the water pump pulley. Some guys have to change it for clearance with the 8" renegade lower pulley.

Nevermind, 1994-95 kit is different and I forgot about that. On my car you get a new water pump pulley.
