If 1/4 mile times are one of your main goals, the C springs are probably not for you. They are stiffer than stock and not variable rate. The springs are great for twisties, at least IMO. Nice "stiffer" ride with definitely much less travel and less weight transfer on launches. You're probably better off with B springs if 1/4 mile times are more of a concern. B's are the same spring rate as stock if I recall correctly, but lower you about 1" - which you are probably looking for.
Plenum and TB are good mods at any time.
Cams - yeah, that would be my choice right away if I had the $ to do it.

VT cams are on back order last i heard, but if you go with stage 2's, you'll have a bottle neck if you don't have LT headers and a better flowing intake manifold. I went with stage 1's since i haven't the time or money to but in a Bullitt or P-51 manifold. I run LT's and gain 24rwhp with my stage 1 cams. I know a guy with stage 2's and he gained less than me since he runs the stock TB/plenum and manifold, (but has LT's). Stage 2's require valve spring replacement, but not the stage 1's, these mild cams still give a nice lope. I would go with a TB/plenum set up next, its affordable and quick nad painless to install.

Good info there. I'd venture to say that the TB and plenum would be the best next step...since it would really be needed with new cams anyways. When I did a tb/plenum upgrade it really was a nice difference in the SOTP meter, and there's plenty of dyno results out there to show their benefit, which is even better with a good tune.
Or.....
How about a blower? I've found it to be quite a valuable mod. Not quite the cheapest, but it's so worth it! :D

If doing cams, don't forgot headers at least.

The guy i know that has cams has the followin
Pro-5.0 shifter, VT Stage 2 N/A Cams, Comp Valve Springs, BBK 75mm T/B, Accufab Plenum, Steeda Pullies, C&L Power Pipe, K&N, Mac Prochamber, Mac Catback w/3.5" tips, 4 cyl front springs, v8 rear springs cut 1.5 coils, Motive 4.30 Gears, 31 Spline Mosers, 31 Spline Traction-lok
he doesnt have headers and he hasnt complained yet. Hes runn 12s in the 1/4

Headers give a nice increase in horse and torque, i felt a huge gain in the SOTP meter with my long tubes. I run 12's with the stage 1's...barely:D

I have seen anywhere from 700 to 1300 for the install
I agree with Fatstang about the stage 2 needing intake and exhaust for the cams to work, now you would see gains but they would not be as much as they could be
most running those cams have so kind of intake (plenum or manifold) and exhaust. plus they do have gears in the 4.10-4.30 range to make up the loss down low with the stage 2s
I like the stage 1s myself when it comes to a few things
if going with stage 2s you will need a tune to get the car to idle, with my stage 1s the car onlys seems to want to die when cold but once it has run for a few mins then it is fine.
if I was going to use a stage 2 then I would have my heads ported and picked up a good manifold ( money is not there)
if it were me
I would go with the plenum and T/B unless you plan on installing the cams yourself

I know someone who can do this for you. If you want to do cams @ some point in time, send me a pm. You'll save some money.
