I finally got a set of some used Nitto's (275/50/15). I've been told to run 12-14psi on a 15" DR. No probelm, but how should I launch off the line? What's some safe and consistent methods? Saturday will be my first attempt on the Nitto's :burnout:

Should i hold the revs at 3000 or more? Should i pop-rev it and while the rpms drops slip the clutch? Can any one give advice?

Keep a journal and try different things. Find out for yourself what works best for your setup. The optimum RPM to launch at is going to depend on how well your car transfers weight and squats. Obviously, you want to be able to launch as hard as possible and not blow off the tires (spin). So start out at say 3000 RPM. If the tires "hold" and you get a decent 60', hit it 3100. if it spins, go back down. If it hooks, go higher. Do this until you find the highest RPM you can hit them.

To add- you may find you will have to experiment with tire pressure in conjunction with RPM. Just like you want to be able to launch as high as you can and not blow the tires off, you also want to be able to have the tire pressure as high as possible and not spin. You will have less rolling resistance with higher inflation pressures, but of course you give up traction if you go too high.

No, it does not matter as far as you have to try things and find what works best for your car and your abilities as a driver....
