It's time to upgrade the fuel delivery system on my '89 Saleen. I'm looking for recommendations from everyone on what to upgrade to as far as the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pump. Here are some stats on the motor.
306 with '94 Cobra GT-40 heads.
Cobra intake.
Anderson cam.
Ford 1 5/8 headers.
BBK X-pipe.
Flowmaster exhaust.
Etc. etc. etc.
I just picked up some 24lb injectors, and a 70mm MAF meter.
Also, are there certain names that you recommend staying away from and why?
Thanks in advance.

I'll second that, Kirban regulator and a Walbro pump.. I have the same regulator and pump in my GT for the last two years with no issues.

I think a 190LPH will work fine, given the combo. The 255 moves a lot of fuel and might heat the fuel up more then you need. The plus side is that you will have more than enough fuel for most upgrades with a 255, but do you need that much pump? You probably can get by on your stock pump to be honest Fritz, you don't plan to run nitrous or forced induction, do you? You aren't pushing 300 RWHP, so your current fuel system is probably going to support the 24 Lb. Injectors.
As far as regulators, I run a Kirban on the Cobra too, but to be honest, manipulating F/P to try to change A/F ratio is a hack at best, because eventually the EEC is going to adjust the injector pulse-width to bring the A/F ratio back to "spec" anyway. The way you make true A/F ratio changes is to go with a chip or a piggyback system like a PMS, EEC Tuner, EFI Extender (Which I use on the Cobra) or an EEC reflash, as was done on my Mach1.

I would have to agree. 255 is only a few dollars more than the 190 and kirban is a nice fpr

From the persepctive Larry presents, it's hard to argue that. If you go to the trouble and time to pull the tank, the 255 will serve all your future plans. Only thing is, if you like to run with low fuel levels, that pump can heat your fuel up pretty good. Since Fritz does not race much, if at all, then that really isn't a concern.
