Just got home from GLD and man it was a great day. Props to Greg for setting up this MMA day up! Tons of Stangs, i think they was only 2 imports the whole night. The track was hooking amazingly, all those crazy nitrous cars laid soooooooo much rubber down it helped many people. Congrats to Greg for cutting a 12.9!!!!!!! That's huge :worshippy
I finally got my freakin 13!!!! I got a 13.83 @ 100.56mph  With a 1.83 60 foot. I know with a better driver, the car can be a low 13. But one thing for sure, i'm going to have a bitching headache tomorrow from all those Super Street cars. I never heard anything as loud as those machines! Again thanx Greg (for the $18 savings)

greg damn I wish I could have got that run on tape

I ran a new best 60' yesterday with a 1.823 and a new best mph 103.42

but the best et i could pull off yesterday was 13.316 with my old best being a 13.279 but I was baby shifting all my 1-2 shifts so it would go in

but all in all it was the most fun I have had at the track in a long time

greg
that run with you was a great even after the 1/8 mile when all I seen was tail lights

That was a GREAT run and those are the kind that makes this hobby so fun. Like I told ya yesterday, as we were going down the return road I'm thinking "Either I went pretty slow or Tony went pretty fast!"

Turns out we both went pretty fast..! :thumbs_up

Congrats on the times guys, wish I could have been there but I had no energy. Always love it when one minute your hot and the next chilled. I'm a bit better this morning. I'll take it easy today and hope to be better tomorrow. :thud:

Yes, thanks to Greg, and the 'crew'/owners/everyone @ GLD. ABsolutely wonderful time.
Wish we would've stayed longer, (but assumed I'd be racing today)......doh'.

Was great meeting all the new people, and BS'ing with 'doze' I already met. Wish more were there just to 'experience' the Grove 'happening'.

Great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(oh yeah, ran a 9.74 and a best 60' of 1.34)..................(felt GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD)...... ..:>)

The best part about those Doorslammers was that Orange Mustang that was top ET qualifier with a 6.89 :thud

Loved the car, (disclaimer here:) But HATED the hood scoop. Someone could've done something different with that design...............
But that dude/whomever could really cut some great lights, and drove the car perfectly!

Great day!

I'm with Steve on the hood.......

Looks like a scoop that got left in the sun too long and sagged.

Guess you can't argue with those number though! :)

Hey Greg, or anyone that know's...
Since The "Monster crew" from Disc channel was at the track on MMA day, is it going to be on TV soon? Can you keep us posted on an update. It'll be cool to see if they caught some MMA members on film and showed it.

I saw them filming (before I left for the day anyway), only during the first time trials of the BIG BOYS................Then they walked away..............
I only saw 2 people (guys), walking around with video equipment.

Sure would be cool to get on the television......................but I dont think they wanted to see sloooooooooooooooow 9 second cars like mine........:<(

They were filming all around the pits too, but I think they were fliming the Chicago Wiseguys for the most part... They were fliming from the tower too.

Hey, Fatstang. I know for a 'fact' that Dale filmed almost ALL of the first round time trials. And quite a bit of the earlier mess around stuff. I;ll tell him (i mean ask him), to toss it on a dvd for ya. (or anyone else that wants one for that matter).

granted, there isn't ALOT, but there;s quite a few runs.
