Andrea was quoted at least $700 today and is looking to see if either someone on here can do it cheaper or direct her somewhere that can do it cheaper. It is a 2001 3.8 V6 Roush Mustang. Most of you know the car.
Please let me know, it is much appreciated.
Why don't you ask Marv how much?
That's why I earn the big bucks. :D

Why do you need a clutch ??????
The surging is another issue.
I know of several people with that issue.
I have to dig around & see if I can find anything.
I'll let you know what I find.

Wayne,
Why don't you do it?? It's not that much more work than when you replaced your trans.

Joel and Matt did the work, but I did learn some things. I was thinking about taking this on myself, is it basically the same procedure as my clutch would be? Hers is a hydraulic clutch isn't it? I didn't know if there was a huge difference. If not I will see if she would let me do it.
Basically the same. If you can get away with-out disturbing the hydraulics, then you don't need to bleed the system. If you would have to take apart the hydraulics, it's basically the same as bleeding brakes - just need the air out.
With all the help you get from this site, I don't think there is any reason you couldn't handle it.

FWIW, Wayner, talk to Andrea about making sure she is not resting her foot on the clutch pedal while driving. Lots of people do this, and even the slightest pressure with a hydraulic clutch can cause slippage that will burn it out prematurely.
I'd bet she has been leaving her foot on the pedal while driving in city traffic. It's a good habit to take your foot off the pedal between gears with a hydraulic-actuated clutch.

Well, it's only "low" on the ground dooood. :D
Put it on jackstands and it will sit as far off the ground as any other Mustang...
Doing a clutch on your back SUCKS though!!!
Come on Wayne.
Gotta use good old Red-Neck Engineering. :D

I don't think it's a hydraulic clutch..... I thought they were all cable??? My 01 v6 was a cable....

Hell you can have my ramps and extensions for free but i'm not sure if it will clear the front fascia.
No you run up on the 2x4's so the front bumper clears the ramps.
Mine is stock & the front just clears the ramps as I pull on.
