ok now that i have the new trans with a trans break (2800 stall)low, what should i do.

i have stock axles with 373 gears and auburn limited slip 8.8.

my rear end makes a noise when i shift into 3rd because there is some play in the differential. how, can i make that go away until i get the new setup. with the car off the ground i can turn the wheels and i can feel play in the rear end. (not much but enough to ping my aluminum drife shaft.

how much abuse can these stock rearends take with a trans break.

well it is not the u joints. they are fine. it is the play in the rear end.if i grab the tire and turn it (up on the hoist) there is about a 2 inch play. can they be shimmed?
