Man nice out today but a little chill in the air. Hope the forcast for the weekend comes true. Mid 50's no rain.

Hey Joel, I stopped by Murry's and they had Monroe Senstrac (SP?) for $20.00 each. Since I don't have big $$$ to throw at shocks I think I'll grab 'em tonight unless you got a better price. Let me know if you get the chance. :D

That would be sweet but I like the way the car feels when the air is cool.

The struts are here and the car's going in tomorrow morning to have them installed and an alignment. :thumbs_up

Tim,

What did you get?????

Kirk

Time is just flying by now. 12 more days until the V6 Ford Challenge III.

And now lots of work to do on the second floor. Drywall is up & taped, so it's cleanup time, and then primer & paint.
So it does not look like I will make any changes to the car before the race as I had planned.

About 4 years ago, I went on a business trip to San Diego for 3 weeks in February. A large and influential customer was having problems and was threatening a divorce unless prompt and decisive action was to be taken. SO, I get shipped out there on a moment's notice. I basically babysat a huge site that was running flawlessly for 3 weeks. It was in the upper 60 most of the time, very comfortable. I would call back to Milwaukee daily and they would be telling me how it was 6 degrees and snowing a foot an hour. I watched the evening news and saw the horrible storms sweep across the plains, as I lounged in my shorts and got a tan. It was commonplace to see Ferrari's and babes of the highest caliber. I hated every miniute of it! :hehe:

One day gone and 3 1/2 to go. Got back into fixing up the house last night. I had some minor drips coming from the heating pipes (hot water heat) and some changes to get ready for basement and bathroom renovations. So since it's summer I drained the system and got to work.

To start I almost got owned by a fitting.
This 1/2 copper fitting (pipe capped and no longer in use) was leaking where it screwed into a black pipe T and was frozen solid. After heating the fitting several times and getting a good grip on it with a pipe wrench it turned  only 45 minutes spent. Just need to pick up a pipe plug for it.

I also fixed a copper joint that had been leaking a few drips. The pipes looked like my first soldering job ever. I was able to cut a section out and replace it, should be good and water tight now.

Next up on the zone in the addition (plumbed in copper) I disconnected some heating pipes leading from the main line to an old unused floor warming system in the back bath room (floor being replaced this winter). I also cut a section of the main heating pipe for that zone that had these saddles with 1/4" pipes coming out of them for 1 small radiator in the basement again not used.

Tonight I to put it all back togeather, need to plug the T fitting, remove 2 radiators and plug their T fittings. Next I need to cap the old lines that went to a floor warming system and replace the section of the copper main line.

Ok so I'm a bit board today at work, I wish I could leave and go home and work on the house. Once I get this stuff out of the way I got a green light for redoing the bathroom and then the basement. Don't get me started on the basement electrical. :thud: Gotta love old houses.

Hopefully it's not knob & tube.

There I go dating myself again. :D

A friend moved into a house with that in it but they had it removed. Nope the people who added wiring to the basement tapped into existing circuits and did a bunch of stuff wrong. IE running BX in the slab in one place. Got a bunch of crap to figure out here. :D

If you need any assistance let me know.

A good friend of mine is an Electrician so if youo find anything more than you can handle he does good work.

Tim Russell

Finished the heating system, soldered the caps and main line section in. Removed the radiators and plugged the T fittings they were connected to. Filled the system and no leaks  Gott most of the air worked out of the system I think, I ran the pumps and vented the radiators till I didn't hear gurgles. Once we start using the system I'll probably need to vent some more air.

I'll keep that electrician friend of your's in mind if I find some really weird stuff. Mostly it's just circuits that are run off of other circuits with old BX that can be disconnected and yanked out. Then I can run new circuits, lots of room in the existing main breaker box for that. I can believe they ran BX and cemented over it  (already disconnected that).
