i know that seems stupid to ask but i wanna know just how difficult or easy it is working with a saleen body kit. i like the kit for the 05-06 and i want one bad but hows the quality? do i need to perform alot of body work to have it fit rite or is it one of those companies that fits pretty much perfect before anything is ever even done to it?

My experience with Saleen products has not been real positive. Usually there is a lot of prep work that has to be done to the kit before you paint it. After you get passed all of the hassles, it does look really nice on the car!

hey nfl, by prep work are you talking about getting a good surface to paint on or are you also talking about dips and fiberglass fabbing?! some mass produced kits suffer horribly from this.

You'll find that you need to fill in some pits and dips in order to get a uniform surface. A lot of sanding might be in order. If you have a good body/paint man, you should be o.k.

im gonna have to do some research and see if the saleen is fiberglass. i really think its a stand out kit but in the cold WASTELAND of ND i know FG will crack and it wont be pretty.
