It was a great show with a lot of nice looking cars. The only negative about it was when i talked to some people about what track they go to, they would bad mouth GLD and priase Byron or RT66. I know RT66 has an amazing track since it's the newest one. It didn't start arguements with people, but asked why. People moaned about how long the lines are and how the track just sucks. Well half those people said "when i went, there were imports every where, it was 5 hour import show!" Well, then you went on Import Wars Days then i said, and that over 300k has been invested into the track and i have no problems at GLD. I also said did you know Byron is 10ft shorter and is on a slight downhill? One guy said good, that means i'm faster there. You're only cheating yourself and your car with that attitude. Just my $.02

I would have to agree with Tim, show these facts. I have a hard time beleiving the IHRA would support a track that is 'short'. As for the down hill, it sure as hell looks down hill, but don't think it is more than the NHRA or IHRA 1° down hill rule.
I pretty much frequent all the tracks as much as another, all seem to net the same times. That being said, even if your 'facts' show it is 10ft short, how big of an effect could it possibly have on ET/MPH. Enough to say I am cheating my car? I would have to doubt that. How if I always ran .2 tenths faster there then I would think that.
GLD is usually a way more infested w/ imports than any other area track, I must say that.

bryon is down hill after the clocks. The shut down is downhill that's it.

Tuesday nights are great @ GLD. Me and steve were there a few weeks ago and you can hotlap all night if you wanted

RT 66 is a joke. It used to be fun when it first opened. 3 weeknights and 2 days on weekend. Now it's just 1 and 1. RT 66 is the nicest track true but the long lines make it a pain. Every year the price seems to race goes up and avg $10-15 per run isn't worth it. If a car breaks or oils the track then you might as well go home.
