Ok, I found out the hard way! If you're going to replace the brake lines on the front of a 94-95, the lines have a different fitting on the different sides of the car ( i.e. Driver side hard line fitting is LARGER than the pass side )

I have the car at Fast Times, on the rack, Passenger side OEM brakes on the ground, new 13" Cobra rotor & caliper installed, and the tech informs me that the line doesn't fit! The fitting on the hard line end is too big. So we look at installing the old line, but it's too short ( The cobra PBR caliper is taller, and the fitting is to the rear of the car, the OEM line will be stretched at the steering wheel lock ) SO, assuming the lines were identical, we tear the thing back apart, put the old brake back on, and I proceed to email the company I bought the kit from to vent my frustration. At this point I'm PISSED! Then they tell me that the lines are different sized, and upon closer inspection, sure enough, the inner diameter of the hose end fittings are different. The lines had caps on them, and from the outside, with the cap installed, they looked identical.

So it's back to the shop this thursday again for another round.

I did my brake conversion to Brembos myself and did not encounter this problem. Must be a GT thing...

Oh yea- you might want to opt for braided stainless lines if this is a conversion to Cobra brakes. The rubber lines are prone to fail under stress where they attach to the PBR calipers...

These are the SS lines.

Maximum Motorsports lists the 94-95 Cobra and GT's under different part numbers, so you could be right. The guy from the place I bought the brake kit from said this...

It is common knowledge though-out the industry that the front hoses on all 1994-2004 Mustangs are different side-to-side. There is also a rather large visual difference, too, if nothing else.

In case you want to take this discussion up with him. Also I'm using the Cobra braided stainless steel lines, the box says 94-95 cobra kit.
