I brought the G-Tech to GLD yesterday and datalogged all my passes. I found this graph kind of interesting. If you look at it closely it shows on one run I launched at 3600 RPM and on the other- 2700. There was no wheelspin on either launch. On the 3600RPM launch, the car went 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. On the 2700RPM launch, it went 0-60 in 5.0 seconds. Otherwise all shift points were nearly identical, but the 3600 RPM launch prodiced of course a much quicker ET. I plan to use this tool much more for data analysis.
Here's the screenshot of the graph:

It is definately a good tool.

Have you compared the Gtech to the timeslip? Is it close?
Well, on the run in the white box, the timeslip was actually 13.06. MPH was off by only .08.
Past versions of G-techs wpuld read MPH a little higher based on how they calculate speed. This unit is a new version (it is actually a "beta" test unit from Tesla)
I'm not supposed to talk about the differences in the beta unit and the "production" unit so I have to leave it at that...

So you have a nice toy that's not available to the public ????
Looks like a nice test & tune tool !!!!!!

Clarification- Yes this is available as far as the datalogging and the graph you see. I bought the production unit last year. The BETA unit has some functions and features not discussed in this thread. You can get one of these now and log your runs. It has a VERY cool "playback" feature Nico- you can watch your whole run on the screen and the shift light goes on and everything.... :thumbs_up

FWIW- the unit on top is the BETA test unit, the one on the bottom is my production unit. They look identical, it's what is inside the test unit that is different.
I don't see what the big deal is with talking about it, but I did agree to some things in writing.

Awesome stuff there Greg!! Those graphs are really Cool!! So launching a little more aggresively gave better results? No spin? Wow! That's tight.!!

I should have hit it harder. 13.06 could easily have been 12.9x and I'd have backed it up. :(

I would like to know what my 0-60 is & 0-100mph is, everybody is always asking that. how much was that unit, it sounds pretty accurate.
do you think it would work in a really fast car? like 9 or 8 sec fast.

I do not have that information Nico... What I can tell you is that owners of the current unit may only have to upgrade the "firmware" to get the changes.
