Ok, I might be looking to get some wheels for the 05 in the near future and wanted to get some opinions on what might look good on it.

I was checking out this page for ideas:
http://www.mustangtuning.com/2005wheels.html

Anyone know any other places to look?

tirerack?

my vote goes for Black FR500s. 9" fronts/10.5 deep dish rear. That would look kickass on your car.
Mustangtuning only has them in 9" but im sure you can find some 10.5s around somewhere or just get them widened.

The first one you can get in 18 or 19x10.5!
The seconds ones only come in 17x9 or 18X9

I think black would look darn good with the red Wayne! I vote for the black FRs from MT.

What's MT Sac? i found the black Fr 500's on blueovalindustries.com, but i also found some other really nice wheels on some other sites. I will do some pondering on this today and tomorrow. I want the car to look awesome, and I think the black with a polished lip would look good. Just have to find the right ones.

MT = Mustang Tuning

Tons of nice wheels out there though; I bet it'll be a tough choice!

Just get something that not everyone else is running, and don't get something that would belong on a ricer. Weld sells some sweet 17" rims.

Actually, you know what's a bad ass rim, are those new 340 Cobra's!
www.oewheelsdirect.com but not sure how they would look on a red car?
Or the Y2k Cobra R's are cool (same as the Steeda Ultralites). Another choice are the Cobra III Deep-Lip made by Halibrand on www.tires.com

Good luck Wayne money bags!

I still think black would look best on your car wayne. and go with 19s, then you can get a nice set of 14 inch brakes!!!

Deep Dish Black FR500's

I believe 18x10 would rub on the fronts, plus, it would be a PITA to push that much rubber on the front end; so go 18x9 on the fronts.

My 17x9 wheels do a have a slight dish to them as well, so it goes well with the deep rears.

coop you crack me up..

Good choice wayne!!! I have wanted to go that route if i got aftermarket rims but i just cant decide if i want to take my stockers off or not. I really like them too. Dawn keeps telling me no cus she likes the stockers too and only the 35ths have them. and i tend to take her word on stuff shes always got good judgement.

Funny, I have Perrellis on the car now, they are 17's though. Kind of why I thought of going with 17" FR500's. I would like to sell the stockers with the tires but they aren't really moving on Ebay.

If you want to sell the tires themselves, I am interested...

I'm extremely happy with the Falken Azenis ST115s on the front of my Mustang. Super quiet, and I can't get them to push and slide. Great traction and ride and didn't cost me too much. I think the 255/40s I have were $110 each.

FYI edgeracing.com currently has Hankooks on sale for insanely cheap prices(and other tires for great prices as well), would have to look around the web for reviews on them to make sure they're decent; but check it out as well. Just as a comparison; I was looking at tires on tirerack for the wife's car; edgeracing was $25 cheaper/tire.

Hankooks are horrible.

That wouldn't surprise me for the price...

I put Toyos on my car when i was home on leave. Made a HUGE difference over the ones that were on there before. they are very quiet on the road, get great traction rain or shine, and look badass too.

I have BFG G-Force sports on my car and the are a nice tire, and pretty reasonable. I got another set for the new wheels I picked up. 235/45/17 front and 275/40/17 rear I paid $454 for all 4 through Discounttiredirect.com with free shipping!

I too have a set of g-force sports on the stang and I really like them. They have got to be the quietest z rated tire I ever owned! I liked them so much I put a set of g-force kdw's on the SHO. I have never and I mean never liked BFGoodwrich tires until these came out. Sure there are better tires on the market, but these are affordable and they are durable to boot. We all know how hard I am on my tires ;) :burnout:

Here is what the sports look like
