For sure go to Fast Times in West Allis. 414-329-3260. Ask for Steven or John, tell them you are a friend of Greg's. Steven does excellent work. I am not sure what he will charge, call them.

I would call fast times
they are the ones that did my spool,c-clip elims, axles and welded my axle tubes and sub frames connectors in and they did a great job
I would not always look for the best price but the best work
cause I could put gears in and charge someone
I know I can get them close but would it be right most likely not

I'll throw in one more voice for Fast Times! I had my gears installed there as well, and have had no complaints.

I had Fast Times do my 3.73s also. They were very reasonable on their labor price. I had them install a Auburn Pro Locking Diff at the same time too. Great job. However, I took the stang in for a new T5, bellhousing, and driveshaft and they didn't put the correct clutch release fork on and the starter grinds against the bellhousing every time I start the car now. The clutch release fork rendered the car ( my daily driver and only car I have ) useless. Couldn't get the car in gear. When I told them about it, they told me to bring it back in a week and they'd have a look at it. Now the new trans has a leak, and I have to wait another week to take it in. They've been more than fair and helpful, but the jury is still out on whether or not their quality of work is up to snuff. I will continue to go to them because their prices are great, and they do everything. But I will keep a keen eye on them.

I just spoke to John, he says you had Venus Ford work on your car prior to bringing it to Fast Times, and that Venus did your clutch, and that they advised you in a detailed discussion before they worked on your car, that your clutch was not working correctly, (Steve drove your car and felt the clutch was not working correctly) and he also says they gave you the parts they supplied at cost to keep you happy as well as welded some loose exhasut parts you had and didn't charge you for that service either. He also said that the clutch fork was correct, and that you have since had the car back to Venus Ford for clucth issues? Venus charged you for a clutch fork that you didn't need. ;)
Anyways, he says if you have a problem with the work they did you should talk to him directly...

I have had only welding and rear stuff done there but I was very happy
they did my c-clip elims even after many shops and people said the c-clip elims wont work with the new rear disc brakes and they did a great job
I would not think twice about taking my car there if need be
even with the fact I try to do all the work on my car if I can (well sometimes with the help of friends)

My gf's birthday is Monday so her present set my car fund back a bit. I worked the past two days and will work monday at my summer job, so once I get that paycheck it should be well more than I need to get those gears in!! I'm getting sick of waiting to do it, but hey my girl has priority over the car :D :lew: :boobies:

I don't want any trouble here. The car works fine now. My issue was first with the fact that Fast Times gave me my car back with a non-usable clutch, and a starter / bellhousing clearance problem. They told me that the grinding sound that occurred when I started the car would "go away after 24 hours, or I could bring it back in a few days and they'd look into it." I had to take the car back to Venus to get the clutch fixed ( I didn't want to ) simply because I had a business trip scheduled during all of this, and I didn't want to risk the +100 block journey to Fast Times when the clutch would not work any more. Have you ever rolled up to a stop light in traffic and pushed the pedal to the floor only to have the car continue to lurch forward, or not be able to get it in or out of gear? Venus charged me almost $700 to replace my fork, and whether it's the correct one or not is immaterial. The thing works now to perfection. Could Fast Times have performed this work, absolutely. I have no doubt, they would have saved me a ton of cash too.
Since then, I have gone back to Fast Times because of a report of my then week old transmission leaking. John personally looked into it, and gave it a clean bill of health. He also fixed the bellhousing clearance problem. I'm a happy camper, a satisfied customer. My car runs like a champ now. I'll go back to Fast Times in the future, hell yeah. I like John, I have a lot of respect for him and feel he deserves my business, and I have a lot of business for him. I think there's a misunderstanding because I took the car back to Venus for the clutch. I've already made some arrangements to return to Fast Times to replace the near-dead cat back system. I wouldn't do that if I had a problem with the work they did.
Fast Times returned my car to me in an unacceptable condition with a barely functioning clutch and a grinding starter, after I dropped $1700 into their coffers. Would you be pissed under those circumstances? I was. But they stuck it out and did good by me.
