I'm going to say this once and then hopefully this internet drama stuff can end once and for all..

I'm getting a little tired of the "copycat" stuff being said behind my back and it's time to clear the air.

Almost SEVEN YEARS AGO I started the first "midwest based" Mustang website, it is called "MUSTANG CENTRAL"
It was MY IDEA to create a highway 100 forum. It was MY IDEA to have a place beyond all the "big" sites where people from the midwest could gather and share info and hang out. It was MY IDEA to give Highway100 cruisers a place to call their own. I sold that website to Rob Remmers and he in turn sold it to Mat Pierce. They decided to get rid of the highway100 forum which is their right. CPONYGO grew out of that forum's demise.

The same people who now operate "spinoffs" of Mustang Central were all members of Mustang Central at one time. I have NEVER, EVER accused anyone else of "copying" my concepts/ideas when they decided to launch midwest based Mustang sites, but that seems to be happening with regard to this website.

It's time to move on with this garbage folks. Years before there ever was a "Midwest Fords" or "CPONYGO" there was Mustang Central, ok? I hate to say these things and be this way, but I think some people who were 12 years old when I started Mustang Central don't know their history and this is just a bunch of HOOEY!

Forget it already! For petes sake!!!

Go where you like to go, hang out with who you like to hang out with, but don't EVER accuse the guy who pioneered this concept of a midwest-based Mustang site being a "copycat' because that's CRAP!!! IT WAS MY FREEKIN' IDEA!!!!

End of rant.

Sorry.

Everyone here knows the truth Greg. I think I know what you are talking about.

All I want is for people to understand that I didn't steal anybody's "ideas" Mark, they were my ideas to begin with. I don't have, and never have had a problem with anyone else starting up websites like these, in fact I have either coded them in full or helped the people who started them up to get them configured, and I guess I want to know how someone copies his own concepts??? I see things I do pop up on other sites all the time!!!
I don't go run over and start tossing barbs at them! I am flattered that people like things I do enough to use them...!

It's not a freeking war for crying out loud...! See something you like here and want it on your site? ASK ME!!! I'll gladly share the code with you and I'll help you if you have problems getting it to work. I have always been that way and will continue to be that way. You aren't going to hear me say "You COPIED ME you bastards!!!"

Don't let it get to you. It is not worth the stress. I am sure by site traffic you can see where people like to go anyhow........

Don't sweat it Greg. The people that run their mouthes behind your back and don't say it to your face aren't worth a pinch of **** anyway. I have witnessed your work on alot of websites. I liked it so much that I have asked for your assistance and opinions numerous times. And I appreciate all of the help you have given me. Don't worry about the drama queens, you know who your real boys are. Keep up the good work! :thumbs_up

I guess some people aren't happy unless they have other people at eachothers throats. It's too bad really. I hate when people go there seperate ways over the smallest things. I am not talking about anyone in particular, I'm just commenting on what I've seen over the years. It's a damn shame too, I come to these sites to have fun, not start or wanting to read other peoples drama.

All I can say is I'm sorry you had to read this. I agree with you, that's why I said "I hate posting things like this" dude. It's just getting stupid and I should have just let it go. There's plenty of "hobby talk" to go around and that is what I want to focus on, not this stuff. So please accept my sincere apologies for the drama and let's return to what matters... OUR HOBBY.

Greg, I hadn't seen anything pertaining to this on this site at all. Were you just trying to address this to people that may have seen it on other sites? If you hadn't mentioned this to me the other night I wouldn't have known about it at all. I haven't seen this on other sites either. Maybe I wasn't looking in the right places?

Anyhow, you needn't defend yourself but it was interesting to know that you had started the midwest revolution....lol

It's ongoing "discussions" some of which filter back to me.
But see- you didn't know that little tidbit about Mustang Central, did you? So it would not be unreasonable for you to think that perhaps I did "copy" somebody else, correct? The first "Highway 100" forum was "Highway 100 Happenings" and it was started in I think 1997? Might have been 1996!

Anyway, I shouldn't have said anything, but I did, and I think I could have said it better and got the point across. Does it really matter anyway?
Nope. Should have kept my mouth shut and figured it does not really matter what people think. However, that human factor creeps in and we all make mistakes. This thread is one of them.

Somebody please hijack this thread. Please??? :D

How's the paint coming along Wayne???

Ok Greg. What are (if any) your future plans for the Mach? I know you finally cracked that 12.9 you've been wanting. Do you have a new goal now?:hehe:

I would like it to run 12's all the time, not just once in awhile. Thing is, right now I can put it back to stock by simply changing the air filter/box back to what it was. I am still on the fence about modding it. Gears and exhaust would probably put it right into the mid-high 12's on every run. But where does the madness end? It runs 12's, I should leave it alone.

But we all know that I won't. It's just a matter of time...

I think some 410's, off road X pipe and cat back would make a nice addition.

Awesome you got it in the 12's.

You have to get things like this in the open.

So what's up with the Cobra? Is she lonely?

Once again not many people know the whole/real story.

I hope all this rain does not affect GLD.

If people can't take the truth,..... too bad.

I hate changing 12 year old O2 sensors.

Drama Drama Drama... it is still in full force.

I want the 14's soo bad.

LOL... Kirkster, I feel bad because there's too nuch "I" and Me" and MMA is a WE thing for SURE.

Cobra was supposed to go in for a hood/front nose and paint but the hood is not in yet, so she's still sittin. And I'm itching to get back to driving it. Poor Mach has had the snot beat out of it these past few weeks, she needs a break!

Kirk, I'm suprised you haven't gotten in the 14's yet. It'll happen eventually. I plan on ordering a PI 3200 stall in the near future. I hope that puts me into the 11's.

Yea, but have you seen the stock exhaust on a Mach1? I hate to cut it off. I think I'd do the H-pipe and have the rear 02 sensors turned off, but I don't know if I can bring myself to cut off that beautiful stock cat-back.

Ok, 4.10's and an X-pipe. That's the ticket. I really only need a solid tenth to run 12's most all the time. I think the X-pipe would do it.

Ok, then leave the stock cat back on there. The O/R X pipe will definately make you run solid 12's all day long.

I think it will too, but I would have to run over to Jackson, MI and have Paul Svinicki disable the rear 02 sensors for me. I have seen a lot of people buy those MIL eliminators and have the check engine light come back in a few hundred miles...

I remeber when I was still in Highschool and was down at GLD and started talking to this guy who had a Red 94 Cobra, seemed like a nice guy, was helpful with answering questions, and invitied us to come check out his new website mustangcentral.net. Since then I have found it a more enjoyable hobby, and have frequented many sites Greg has ben involved with. We know the truth!!
