Default It looks like I'll be gainfully employed Saturday morning

Noticed a clunk start this week in the rearend of my F150. Finally got time to take a look at it tonight and it took me all of five seconds to find this laying in a void of the frame after it fell off the top shock mounting location.

I picked up a pair of Gabriel Ultra shocks from autozone to replace the stockers (no experience with these, but they are supposed to be OEM equivalents and seem to have decent comments online). So it looks like i'll be spending my Saturday morning under my truck instead of scouting for a spot to hang my bow stand.

On the bright side, this shock should be relatively easy to remove

new shocks are in. The pass side top nut was a bitch to remove, but other than that, everything came off surprisingly easy for being an 11 year-old truck. I'm sure hitting it with PB blast last night helped some. Both shocks were shot anyway. no rebound in either of them. I'm sure the fronts need to be swapped out as well.

I sold the truck 3 years ago...

But while I had no complaints after installing them. They were cheap and they worked. Cant really speak to how long they lasted vs OEM though.
