I agree with you Greg on the waste. Maybe its just me getting older but it sure seems like people are less educated and feel that they are some how owed something rather than having to earn it....and when people do earn their way, they are hit with a even higher tax donkey punch to the balls.

As a business owner, the level of taxation I see versus an employee is quite substantial. I pay taxes on my personal income just like you do, I pay various employment taxes, I pay unemployment taxes etc etc etc. When you look at your payroll deductions, I match Medicare and Social Security payments 1-for-1, it comes right out of the revenue stream. According to some, this makes me "Patriotic".

They are the idiots who started this mess of the economy. If you really want to do something about it, lets use the clause in the Constitution that allows us to disband current government and institute a new one. If we did that, there should be a lot less "law makers" that become tax suckers.

It seems every year more and more "government officials" are created out of thin air. Maybe we should just all be one of them, our taxes would just come back to us.

Well if it makes you feel better.

You could be out of work, 2 months from kissing your house goodbye. And then be endanger of being homeless. Sure selling everything you have might help you keep your house, but in the end you know your screwed because that will only keep the wolfs from the door for a short time.

Some people wish they had a income to be taxed. Some just want food on the table to feed their kids. Some are working 3 parttime jobs to keep their head above water.

And remember not all people bought overpriced homes, got to far out wack on their debt to income. Some were hard working employees that were blind sided when their jobs packed up and left the country, or there company didnt have a buyer for their product or services and couldnt afford to keep them sweeping the plant floor.

Be happy you have a job, because there are alot that wants yours.

I dont appreciate the guilt trip. I have nothing to do with people loosing their jobs... I too could easily loose my job tomorrow, and am very grateful for what i have, but also know i go to work and do my job, and work 50+ hour weeks, and only get paid for 40...no one "gave" me my job. Im simply making the point that we are being taxed too hard. Thats it...

But that doesn't change the fact that the state/federal government is raping us of our hard earned money, has been, and will continue too. I just pointed out really how much of OUR EARNED MONEY goes towards taxes. Thats it. That was the only point.
Im not in that boat, nor would I want a handout if I were. But I know many that currently are. As for the "cancer" thing, yeah there are always people in far worse shape then the next guy. But I dont understand why cancer and taxes have a common relation.

Cancer is something that is in your DNA, some people get it and some dont. The ones that do, fight more than you than you did to change your government.

Instead of bitchin about it do something about it, change your government be proactive make your voice heard.

Or better yet leave.

I posted something but decided to delete it

Didn't realize posting a thread discussing how taxes are too high causes such a stir.,......

I guess I should be sorry to that there are people worse off then me .............
I fight for what I have and have trained my self to be better then my competitors so i will alway have a job.

I guess I should also leave your country. I mean my family has already went against one govement about taxes. Its not like we have been here that long. only about 200 years.....

The point is if you are a young person you get nailed harder then a family with all the tax credits. Yes small buisiness owners get nailed that sucks but the people are supposed to be taxed the hardest are the ones that can afford a tax lawyer to find stupid exemptions.

Anyway this is a car forum its pretty sad that no one on here really talks about cars. As far as politics I stand in the center wich is why I usually choose to hold my tounge when people bitch. But to guilt trip someone that is making a stament about taxes and tell them to leave your country, well sound like a take your toys and go home statment. And I am also on 27 yrs old so maybe I just remeber the jerks in grade school.

I know. Political threads tend to become nasty here. nothing wrong with ranting!

Yea, doesnt benefit me though, I'm still a WI resident. For some reason, i cant bring myself to give up my eligibility for free wisconsin fishing licenses and cheap hunting tags

Since 6 months of my pay was tax free this year because I was in Afghanistan, I got every cent back, so it doesnt matter much. Plus, wisconsin has a $300 tax credit for active duty, so i usually get most of it back anyway.
