Question:

Is there a turbo kit of any kind for the 6cyl?

Also (because I know nothing about it), are the 6 cyl engines ohc or bushrod, and when (if) was the changeover?

there's not any commercially available turbo kits for the v6's, the people have have them just make their own.

the v6's are pushrod's yet. i think that they're supposed to be going to an overhead cam engine in 2006, but i haven't heard anything about that in a long long time, so for all i know, that plan may have been ultimately scrapped by ford.

According to that 3.8 info thread i read, it is basically a beefed-up and refined version of the v6 block made by buick, also found in the GN's...right?

Justin just did a little more tuning on his car.

And it made 450RWHP at 16psi ...still stock 3.8 TT

You all have caught my attention here.

I've been thinking about a faster econo car than my 92 integra. I was looking at the GSR integras, but then I realized that I could get a 99 mustang GT with low miles for less than a 95 gsr.

Or...I could get the 6 cyl, save some money on gas, insurnace, and the car itself. Then use that money to get a little extra "kick" out of the 3.8 in a manner similar to the thread's topic. I can do welding and machining as well as some electronics. So a 300 crank/hp stang (my goal when I had the 88) is not out of any reasonable reach.

BTW- the mustang bug bit again!

Justin Just broke into the 10's :worshippy

He went up to Gainesville where we will be racing in September for the third race of the V6 Ford Challenge.

Holy Cow! In the video it looked like he left late, that 10 second time slip with a 2+ second R/T is that right? Any insight there Kirk? That's awesome! :burnout:

James,

justin is taking his time at the light to launch just right.
He is not worried about the reaction time, just doing everything right.

This latest run is not from the video. He has been chasing 10's for a while & finally got it.
